| This building was designed with the concept of
connecting two office buildings in the air. This
led to the elegance of building which had been neglected
in super tall buildings. This connecting style has
showed the new possibility in city space and obtained
the stability and safeness against earthqaukes and
strong winds. The Floating Garden Observatory is
on the 40th floor of the building and allows you
to enjoy full view of the city of Osaka. |

| Osaka Castle & Park was monumental fortification
constructed, upon the order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi,
to be the strongest & most beautiful castle
in Japan. The record says that 30,000 workers a
day built the castle enclosed by 12km long stone
walls, taking three & a half years to complete.
It was completely destroyed after a war in 1615
by Tokugawa Ieyasu who rebuilt it, but in 1665 it
was struck by lightning & burned to the ground.
The present 5-story Osaka Castle, constructed of
ferroconcrete after the original in 1931. A two-story
tower, build in 1620, and some structes still remain. |

| Osaka is the seat of the Osaka prefectural goverment
and the second largest city in Japan, and used to
be called "the lagoon city" because it
is crisscrossed by rivers and many canals. Enjoy
a view of River Okawa by Aqua-Liner, going through
many bridges and watching various numbers of famous
and historical places in the city of Osaka and its
seasonal changes in the scenery. |
